Public Service Announcement

Today's PSA: "Bodily Awareness" (Or, "Must You Stand Right in the Middle of Everything?")

Are you walking down the hall with 3 or 4 of your friends? There might be someone trying to get past you as you walk shoulder to shoulder. Turn around and look. Then move.

Can't decide what to get in the cafeteria? There might be someone trying to get by you while you decide in the middle of the doorway. Turn around and look. Then move.

Looking for that special something on the shelf at the grocery store? While your butt and cart sit in the middle of the aisle, there might be someone who needs to get by you. Turn around and look. Then move.

Can't decide where to park? Just choose one or pull over. There might be someone behind you. Turn around and look. Then move.

Remember, friends don't let friends get in the way.

Thank you and good afternoon.

Tell me about it! Can I add one?

When you're one of those weird movie-goers who actually hasn't decided what they're going to see on a Saturday night when they walk in the theatre, while you're looking at the available movies that you should have looked at already through one of the many various sources available to you before you came to the theatre, and while you're asking the cashier who's busy with a huge line of customers what she thinks is good (as if you would really take her advice in the end), and while you're doing this right in front of the ticket counter where people are lining up who knew what they were seeing already, and you're holding them up--you know...that line behind you going out the door because everyone in your town does the same thing on Saturday night, take a look behind you and move.

Now imagine that speech given by Dr. Cox of Scrubs and you'll understand what I mean and the tone I mean it in.
